Good news for wonks, erm, psephologists
The extraordinarily useful electoral-vote.com is back, this time covering the senate elections across the Pond. It was very useful in 2004 and assisted me greatly in taking a few Bush haters to the cleaners with bets....
A few points to note relative to 2004 (and yes I know people vote differently in Senate races from the Presidential race): The Republicans have weakened in the mountain and prairie states, plus Florida whereas Maine has flipped 180 from strong Democrat to strong Republican.
And whether you like it or not, I'll be blogging on it....

Looking forward to it.

I look forward to it. Interestingly, the cumulative polling data suggests a dead heat in the House of Representatives- 217 Republicans and 217 Democrats with 1 tied. Although the UK's dead wood media seems to be intent on seeing a "complete meltdown" for the Republicans and a "landslide" for the Dems. Worst culprits, predictably the Beeb and The Grauniad.

And here's a classic example - a Reuters poll in the 'graph which reports "[the democrats are] ahead in nine of 11 key races."

I'm a fellow psephology nerd too. So blog on.
However - is the Croydonian aware of the horrifying news revealed in Monday's Guardian - Beano's is to close!!! O rage! O desespoir! (Corneille, you know.) When it does, there'll be just one independent trader in central Croy'n. The triumph of uniformity.

Thanks for that DS.
Yes, I knew about Beanos. A crying shame, but their prices have never been that keen, and they really should have adopted the dutch 'auction' pricing model used at the Music & Video Exchange group.
