A crisis of confidence in Iran
Given Ahmadinejad's frequent pronouncements on quite what Iran and its allies would like to do to Israel, it is a litle surprising that an Iranian TV sci-fi series features a Jewish villian - more at the Memri site.

That must be for your younger readers C. Servalan was often the subject of my intimate moments. She is one of many characters , over the years ,to express the moderate bourgeois ambition I applaud

If anyone is interested in what she looks like with her kit off in later years, just look up Jacqueline Pearce in Yahoo Image search. Purely in the interest of late 20th. century cultural research of course!
