Just not cricket

A tale from the Sydney Morning Herald that does not appear to have made the press in these parts:

"Prime Minister John Howard says Australian and British authorities are checking reports that London suicide bombers had planned to target the Australian and England cricket teams during the 2005 Ashes series....News Limited newspapers said that according to a friend of one of the terrorists, suicide bombers Mohammad Sidique Khan and Shehzad Tanweer had received their orders at an al-Qaeda training camp in Kashmir in December 2004. The alleged friend said the terrorists had been instructed by al-Qaeda to gain employment as stewards for last July's Second Test at Edgbaston and spray sarin gas inside the players' change rooms".
