Interactivity on news websites

While going for a virtual stroll around my usual news ports of call this morning I noticed the Telegraph is now allowing comments on some stories. And so far none have been made, whereas any item with interactivity at The Guardian / Observer seems to provoke a blizzard of comment.

Given that right wing blogs prompt so much traffic , why might this be? Is it because the Telegraph has the wrong readership for this, is it to do with registration issues, because right wingers get out of bed later on Sunday or because they are all at church?

Croydonian - It's only the new subject that doesn't have any comments because they're moderated and I guess we have to wait until the moderator strolls in in his silk dressing gown.

Sounds to me like they haven't really got the hang of this interactive malarkey yet...
