I'll take your word for it. All I've ever seen of it is the railway station.

Surely it can't be all that bad, given that the citizenry had the good sesne to elect W.F Deedes as its MP for 24 years?

A few years ago, a helpful citizen changed all the signs directing motorists to the village of Hett in Co Durham. After his intervention, they read Hell!

During my long exile from this borough I lived in Essex, in a small village called Blackmore. Nice place, but road signs to it would occasionally have 'Ritchie' appended to it.
