Taking the franchise seriously
Turks have been polled on voting intentions, and the ruling AKP is doing well. That, however, is scarcely worthy of comment.
What intrigues is that some seven per cent of Turks fully intend to roll up to the polling station and 'cast an invalid vote'. Some one in fifty are rather lazier and will not vote at all.
