Time to become The Novocastrian?

Care of Eurostat, I have discovered that Newcastle upon Tyne, at 54%, has the highest percentage - of British towns listed - of respondents who "strongly or somewhat agreed with the statement that in this city it is easy to find good housing at a reasonable price". Leipzig leads at 78%, and in Goethe's words, "Mein Leipzig lob' ich mir! Es ist ein klein Paris und bildet seine Leute. (I praise my Leipzig! It is a little Paris and educates its people.)

London does not come bottom of the overall list, although it is last for the UK at 12%. A mere three per cent of Parisians agree with the statement. Doubtless the figures would be lower if they has asked folk outside the M25 / Périphérique who would like to live in either city.

Worse int eh apapers all day too. Apprantely when it comes to all things green glasgow and newcastle are better places to live than London.

I think it is just cheating when you have the cold wind to blow all the pollution out to sea every day of the year...
