What's this?

Spotted a few of these in a park near to Croydonian Towers, and was intrigued as to the possible purpose of the objects. I have the definitive answer, as there was a URL on the side.

You take one of the chains and attach it to your dog's lead. Others do the same then stand back and film the action for putting up on YouTube.

That's the best guess so far, but no...

I wonder if I can get the second-best guess so far as well.

How about a hostel for harassed squirrels?

Colin,

You've gone and spoilt all the fun. It is, indeed, a fancy frisbee catcher.

They used to have them all around my university campus.

There were a few trees in and around the quads, but UCL was, and presumably still is, a bit lacking in wide open spaces....

That's a benefit of having a park campus! [Essex Uni]

I was just wondering what you were doing hanging around parks? You "dirty old man."

TD - You make a fair point.

Badly disguised anonymous - going for a walk with my lady friend, actually.

I thought it was a little merry-go-round for child mice.

Anyway, Anita Roddick's copped it of a brain haemorrhage. I always thought her hair looked like a brain haemorrhage, so prophetic perhaps. Anyway, I guess Amnesty International and other one-worlder Marxist organisations will have to make up her contributions somehow.

Not from me, but somehow. It must have been so conflicting for her, wanting to be this natural woman with bad hair and an honest, non-disguised, bare face - yet be capitalistically involved in selling make-up. The conflict must have made her blood run cold.

Oh, well, the chill is gone.
