Foreign government consulted on the date of an election in the United Kingdom

Yes, really. Blair has been meeting with a foreign prime minister in order to agree on a date for an election in this country.

Surprised? Appalled? You should be. And if I reveal that it concerns Ulster and the Republic of Ireland, it should make no difference.

Wasn't Brown in India recently to consult with Lord Mittal? Seems like the most influential people in Britain aren't even British.

Ahern is a turkey voting for Xmas, since the purpose of the great dance appears to be strengthening Sinn Fein's electoral prospects across the whole of Ireland.

Hopefully, Blair feels one of those hands on his shoulder soon, & not the one he was hoping for...

ND - I had a piece written to add to yours but feel it might be incitement to murder. Suffice to say you can imagine the sentiments for yourself.

Don't want to break the rules.

It's bloody ridiculous C. And the Conservative Party support this all the way. It's actions like that and the issue over MEP's going native in Brussels that gets on my goat all the time. Why can't we stand up for our country, our countrymen and the principles of our party and the wider conservative movement?

Actually, I'm more surprised that within the party, this isn't an issue. You would have hoped that all us Eurosceptics would be lobbying the leadership and the government against the GFA. Then again, it was Thatcher who signed up to the Anglo-Irish agreement...

-le sigh-

Dave is a tragedy for the Tory party. Conservative voters who live by conservative values have no one to vote for. Blair and Cameron are two peas in a pod.

I wonder what will happen. What is going to happen to our country?

Will - Not good, is it?

No, not at all C, and it's getting worse. I feel an 'Ask David' post coming on...

Verity, one party state?
