A little something to bring cheer

OK, so they are protesting for other reasons, but still quite cheering to see his Toniness getting booed.

GURH! Pro Hizbollah protesters.

Makes me sick.

Anonymous Anonymous said... 2:26 pm

That was me... Dx

Stupid blogger won't let me post while logged in on my beta account and I messed it up. -le sigh-

Blogger Croydonian said... 2:28 pm

Yup, not exactly my favourite bunch either, but my hunt for the Blair / WI video having failed, I thought that this would do for now.

Anonymous Anonymous said... 2:38 pm

Me too, W.

To something more cheerful: Who would have dreamed, when the phony, self-righteous, self-regarding one came to power with his authoritarian hissiness that it would all end like this?

I mean, had we known that this little piece of self-regarding, messianic scum would end up being interviewed under caution by the the police, it would have made the foregoing eight years more bearable.

What price now the stupid, self-congratulatory smile? What now, Bambi? What now your greedy wife, accepting gifts from people who were trying to get British passports to avoid the police in India? What now all your posturing in those w-a-a-a-a-y too-tight jeans on George Bush's ranch in Crawford? The press said you could barely move one leg in front of the other - but the pose was everything, wasn't it, Emily? You wanted to look "Western" - but George Bush is a real Westerner and you are a cheap little poseur.

What now the fake grandiosity of the Millenium Dome opening? What now the chippie fishwife you're married to grabbing the Queen's hand during Old Lang Syne (one verse too early)?

If only we had known that after all the destruction of our ancient laws and mores, all the opening of the gates to muslim immigrants and all the abasement to them, all your laws against "race" (islam isn't a race, Emily, you stupid little ignoramus) crimes ... if only we had known you were going to be brought so low, we could have borne it all with better heart.

Still. I'm not complaining. Better late than never.

Sit by the river long enough.....

Ah - I've found the Blair / WI tale on the BBC site, complete with streaming video, supposedly, but I can't get it to work.

Anonymous Anonymous said... 2:52 pm

Here's something else to bring a little cheer. Blair is said to be "in a blind panic". They are going to try to spike the guns of the police. As fraudsters always do.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/news/news.html?in_article_id=415895&in_page_id=1770

And the India tour organised by one Mr Khoja of Toronto, a former gaolbird for diverting client funds into his own account, which would have starred fat slapper cherie and the sordid Bill Clinton has been called off because they couldn't sell the tickets.

Indians are known for the intensity of their intelligence.

I'm sorry, Croydonian, I don't know how to create links.

Anonymous Anonymous said... 2:56 pm

The venues booked all had seating for 5,000. But the company working in India with Khoja said only 400 tickets had been sold NATIONWIDE. Ha ha ha ha ha!

Verity Mam
many real cowboys would disagree with you there and may even say Dubya is all hat and no cattle.
Lets face it he is preppy ivy league eastern aristocrat, who poses as a cowboy.

Blogger Croydonian said... 3:47 pm

V - now that is good news. Much appreciated.

Here's a handy guide to creating hot links.

Hitchens - the contraction for 'madam' is ma'am, not mam.

Of course Bush is an Ivy Leaguer and of course he is worldly, with a father who was the head of the CIA and was Vice President and then President of the United States, for heaven's sake!

That you claim he's not a Westerner because he's not a hick is quite insulting to Texans. There are many very worldly people in the big Texas cities. Half the population of Houston is in the oil business and has lived overseas. That doesn't make them less Texan.

Mr Bush is a genuine Westerner.

Anonymous Anonymous said... 4:03 pm

He doesn't "pose as a cowboy". That is a British/European fantasy. Texans do not have this fantasy. George Bush has been a rancher for years. He does a lot of his own work on his ranch in Crawford and he relaxes by chewing the fat with his longtime foreman, who happens to be black. That is very Western. Stick to vignettes of Manchester. You've never been to Texas.

Thanks, Croydonian, I won't be able to understand it, but I'll study it. I hate all that complicated stuff.

Trust me I will get you on something ! (+:

PH - Not very gallant. I'm assuming this is in jest, but it still oversteps the mark.
