Headlines that intrigue - only to disappoint
Like this one: Sturgeon in rallying call to SNP
Alas, the Caledonians were not being encouraged to boycott caviar, but rather to go back to their tenements, crofts etc and prepare for power, as Nicolas Sturgeon, for it was she, was speaking to their conference. What with Salmond, I think there is something fishy going on North of the Border.
I don't think I have the resolution to plough throgh the entire list of Scottish councils in search of more fish-related names, but will pause having found the rather inappropriately surnamed Sheena Welsh of Angus, who unlike the Sheena of the Ramones song does not appear to be a punk rocker.

Thank you Vikki.
Scottish politics is an awful, fetid swamp in which form of marine life would have limited chance of survival. Essentially there are five Sociallist parties in Scotland plus an assortment of other lefties. but only one Conservative party to support the 30% who are not either employed by the state(55%) or on benefit(20%). London’s subsidy to Scotland currently accounts for 10% of their GDP….the ingrates. I have a post on the latest thoughts of (former/future Scottish politico)George Galloway at my place.

I find Kremlinology of the SSP, SWP, Respect, CPGB, SPGB etc etc a source of immense amusement - they do love denouncing each other - but when I've posted I get the sense that my readership's collective eyes are glazing over....

You should do one of those family tree things. A 'cut out and keep' job.

DP - Now there's a thought. The far left put me in mind of this Emo Phillips joke:
"Once I saw this guy on a bridge about to jump. I said, "Don't do it!" He said, "Nobody loves me." I said, "God loves you. Do you believe in God?"
He said, "Yes." I said, "Are you a Christian or a Jew?" He said, "A Christian." I said, "Me, too! Protestant or Catholic?" He said, "Protestant." I said, "Me, too! What franchise?" He said, "Baptist." I said, "Me, too! Northern Baptist or Southern Baptist?" He said, "Northern Baptist." I said, "Me, too! Northern Conservative Baptist or Northern Liberal Baptist?"
He said, "Northern Conservative Baptist." I said, "Me, too! Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region, or Northern Conservative Baptist Eastern Region?" He said, "Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region." I said, "Me, too!"
Northern Conservative†Baptist Great Lakes Region Council of 1879, or Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region Council of 1912?" He said, "Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region Council of 1912." I said, "Die, heretic!" And I pushed him over".

Puts me in mind of the Judean popular peoples front versus the Judean peoples front versus the people of Jeudeas popular front.
