Istanbul Tory

My (virtual) friend and long time poster GC has taken up the challenge and started blogging as Istanbul Tory. He's off to a great start with the same measured, thoughtful and incisive posts I have come to expect from his showings here. Good work and good luck IT.

Yes, he has a way with words.....

Hmm. I see he's a liberal conservative.

I'm a conservative conservative. Is there any hope for me?

S - that's for you to decide, but meanwhile conservatives, s****lists, liberals, trotskyites etc are all welcome here as long as they are civil to other posters.

Is it possible to borrow virtual money from a virtual friend?
If not I spy a business opportunity. Virtually shagging his wife would be easy via cyber sex, but the whole loan thing needs a little more thought. Definite possibilities though.

I.T. has the makings of a good blog there.

Croydonian, cheers. Many thanks for the fine words from all posters even Mr. Hitchens. Do drop by. Virtual shagging is off my agenda though. I also make no apologies for being a liberal conservative. Although I do apologise for allowing myself to be pressganged by a family friend into delivering Labour Party leaflets at the General Election in 1983. Yes, the 1983 GE and the constituency was Finchley and Golders Green. I ought to don a hair shirt for life...

IT - happy to have provided a small back scratch.

I've done worse - back in '97 I was at the house of a friend (the French Armenian) for election night and he attempted to force champagne on me, and when I tried to turn it down he went to DefCon One on the emotional blackmail front. Still, he's 'fessed up to the error of his ways since....

Meanwhile, if Peter, Verity, Suttonian (under his many aliases), Colin, Vikki or any of my other blogless posters fancy a crack at this blogging malarkey I'm more than happy to give them a plug.

Ah - and could you put a contact e-mail on your profile, please?

I have aceded to your wishes.
