Yet another opinion poll

ICM's poll gives the current figures as Conservative 40, Labour 34 and LD 17. This translates into 308/297/16 on Baxter. Quite the squeeze on the Lib Dems. I wonder if they are panicking yet, and whether Kennedy is tempted to do an Alex Salmond...

I'm with Norman Tebbit on DC,I want to know what we will do with victory if we win.

Bromley + C is a warning not to forget people like us.I fear this poll lead is aminly down to how inept the govt are and it's a mistake to think it's DC shining.

C,what d'you mean with the bit about Salmond?

I can sympathise with the Chingford Strangler, but there is a strong argument for keeping the talk on policy light while Cameron builds up good will in the country.

Re Salmond - I was thinking that Kennedy might be tempted to make a comeback as leader.

They do seem a bit 'rabbit in the headlights' at the moment, although their ability to fight impressive election campaigns on shoestring should never be underestimated.

If I was Ming, I wouldnt worry about the final number of seats (which he claims to be concentrating on increasing in 2009/10).

I'd be waiting to be offered Foreign Sec by both GB and DC when he holds the balance of power.

I cant magine Charlie or Paddy before him would be so popular or capable in such a position.
