British Deaths in Afghanistan
The death of Lance Corporal Hashmi is sad, and certainly newsworthy, but Lord Ahmed of Rotherham goes rather further on the BBC site:
"We should be sympathising with the family of both of the soldiers, particularly the Muslim family because this actually proves the fact that Muslims also give their life for Britain."
What an utterly contemptible comment to make. A little digging suggests that His Lordship keeps some rather questionable company.
And his voting record is worthy of note too.
