French in 'praising the British' shocker
The Plain People of France, at least those who drive, have been polled on what they make of the driving abilities of their fellow Europeans, and we, along with the Swiss are rated the most courteous at 59% of responses, which is nice. Whether the survey was conducted under valid research parameters is not made clear.
On the other hand, the Italians are rated the worst drivers (56.5%), followed by the Spanish at 11.2%
I suppose we fare well as Gauls are more likely to encounter us over there than here, and doubtless the average Briton driving on the wrong side of the road will not be taking too many risks, flipping off Gauls, revving up at the lights and so forth.
