So much for Harman's denials

Betting markets are quite good at cutting through the, ahem, smelly stuff, and here's what they reckon at PaddyPower.com:

Odds unchanged from a few days ago, if memory serves, and HH still has the shortest odds. Far be it for me to interfere with the People's Party's death wish, but if they have any sense Brown will 'develop' some illness or other and Johnson will take the reins.

If they need any help with developing Mr Brown's illness, I could lend them a hammer. I think applying it to his smile at high speed would produce the desired result.

6-1 on Johnson is surely worth a flutter. Harman will start the leadership contest out in front but will fall back under closer scrutiny.

Since we're viewing this as a horserace, can the same sanctions apply in the case of those who fall at the first fence?

I reckon she's got what it takes to go all the way in the Britain of 2009

Julia - does it have to be humane? There is probably a pooor taste joke about the uses one can put a dead horse to - being boiled down for glue, fed to pound dogs etc etc.
