As government tax revenue dries up, perhaps they might consider expanding the species of plants that they grow into something a little more 'commercial'.....
If Whitehall was converted to arable land, doubtless the country would be be better off. And there's plenty of 'fertiliser' in those parts to get things off to a head start.
Combining several threads, could we not "volunteer" the vast bulk of civil servants to till some new-found allotment soil in Whitehall and Victoria Street to help with our food imbalance?
Haven't we already acquired suitable species, Letters, by invading Afghanistan?
