What is a union to do?

Pity Amicus Unite, led by one time Communist Derek Simpson, for it should be in something of a quandary, as Barclays Wealth is closing a site in Peterborough and moving roles to Glasgow and / or Noo Yawk.

And why might this cause problems? Because of what Barclays Wealth does, inter alia:

"The Wealth Advisory business offers a complete range of bespoke fiduciary products and services to UK and international private and corporate clients, from key global locations....We develop and distribute tax driven products and solutions for our private banking clients."

And there was I thinking that tax planning, stopping the 'rich' from paying 'a fair share' and so forth were not in the Amicus play book.....

Yes, the union's are into stopping the rich from dodging taxes, unless it is a highly-paid union boss. Let's see how long it is until a union boss gets caught doing "tax avoidance" or suchlike :-)
