What fresh Hell is this?

A report published in the BMJ, and reported by 24dash.com proposes taking the 'war on obesity' (do we have a Fat Czar yet?) to ever more absurd levels - and I am NOT making this up - including the mandatory placement of an obesity helpline number with the sale of larger sized clothes in shops. That is merely the most monstrous proposal, as there are plenty more, including 'Banning the placement of sweets and fatty snacks at or near shop tills and at child's eye level' and ' Introducing health checks for all school leavers, both primary and secondary'. Whatever happened to free will?

Meanwhile, I suspect that shopping abroad will be ever more popular, and maybe there will be a revitalised market in vintage clothing because it will not have labels declaring 'you are a fatso, shame on you' attached to it.

They got round the ,"none of your sodding busines" ,problem on smoking with ,the passive smoking invention. Passive eating may be tricky .

It is best to keep a couple of yards away from my brother come to think of it.

A quick change of the last three letters in "czar" and prescott is just the man for the job.

That would be 'clot', presumably....

I am certain blair is a psycho. Even Kruschev never had dreams of controlling people's weight.

The excuse for all this aberrant control freakery is, of course, the institution that is going to be providing IVF for single women and lesbian couples (but can't afford drugs for cancer in some regions), the NHS.

This has proved to be the most dangerous institution in Britain in oh, so many ways, not least as a handle to control behaviour of formerly free-born Brits.

This was the excuse to control smoking. This is the excuse for controlling TV advertising of snacks. This is the excuse for mandating 'help lines' in outsize clothes departments.

Dump it. It's vile.

We live in dark and terrible times, that much is clear.
