EU in 'doing something interesting' shocker
I suspect that readers were not aware of the Second European Bombina Song Contest, but it has just happened, and Sweden has won it.
Not being a big fan of much English language Swedish rock (bar The Leather Nun, but that's a story for another day), it is a relief that the winners were not singing in English or even Swedish, but rather these were fire-bellied toads giving voice. The Mölle tenors retained the prize, beating off competition from Latvia, Denmark and Germany. The first link has audio files of the contestants.
The F-BT is a handsome fellow:

Alas they are not to be found in these parts, which is rather a shame, and furthermore they are bit thin on the ground / water in their traditional homelands on the Baltic littoral. Anyway, the song contest was held to promote the work of the Life-Bombina project in seeking to preserve them.
