A very brief DPRK update

See, all the old favourites are emerging from the wainscotting now.

"The ABC of the United States reported that the CIA set up and operated two secret prisons in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania, and in its vicinity in 2004 and 2005 for the purpose of confining and interrogating Al-Qaeda related and other terrorists...

...All forms of torture such as no-sleep torture, sex torture and hairy caterpillar torture are being practiced against prisoners in the U.S. overseas secret prisons, stunning the world people".

Can't say that I am that enthused by the idea of having caterpillars, even bald ones, crawling on me, but I think worse things have been known.

"A number of innocent people are meeting death there, without being known to the outside world, after suffering untold pain."

Well, maybe, but how do they know?

Reminds me of a line in a Fu Manchu movie with Christopher Lee: "The Tong are a secret society so secret that no one knows anything about it."

Good point. I rather like the notion that the most influential secret society is the one none of us hae heard of. It would probably leave all the usual poster groups for conspiracy nuts trailing in its wake.....

On the basis of my adopted nom de guerre, the All Seeing Eye was accused last week of being a member of the conspiracy nut-jobs standard fare the Lucis Trust, which was fun.

However there is one better secret society, Mr C. As in Umberto Eco's Foucault's Pendulum where the secret society is just a game, a charade, until other people who aren't in on the 'joke' start joining it and create their own conspiracy.

(If that's ruined the story for any potential reader then you should have read it years ago and I have no sympathy or remorse)

Hairy caterpillars. If that doesn't persuade the traitor Lee Myung Bak to behave himself, it's difficult to imagine what will.

T - One might think so, yes.

Hairy caterpillar torture?

Sounds jolly good fun!

Is there a manual or something?
