Something near the knuckle for a Friday afternoon
IFOP has a rather amusing survey on the French and pornography, which I am wussing out of doing in detail, what with this being a family blog and all.
However, this one set of findings is far too good to skip over:
"Do you think that the sexuality depicted in pornographic films is a long way, some way, quite close or very close to the sexual practices of the French?"
As the old joke goes, 'How different, how very different from the home life of our own dear Queen!'

So, red is 'a long way', orange is 'some way', light green is 'quite close' and dark green 'very close'. And the overall figures have 84% thinking the depiction in porn 'distant' from reality, with 82% of men and 87% of women thinking the same. 39% of women opt for a long way from reality compared to a quarter of men. One wonders about the lives of the 1% of men who reckon real life French sexuality is just like porn.

Another interesting one. I should have put it mofre half and half. Hmmm, think I'll cancel those plans to remove to France.
