Some more DPRK odds and ends
Mrs Kim Il Sung is all the rage over at KCNA at the mo'.
Kim Jong Suk, for it is she, is lauded thus:
The people remember her down through generations, because she had made great exploits within a span of 32 years that others could not do even in a century. It is her greatest exploit that she established the tradition of defending the leader (KIS. C ) with very lives and gave birth to the Bright Star of Mt. Paektu (KJI. C)and brought him up to carry forward the revolutionary cause of Juche.
Which is nice, and she has attracted a fistful of honours:
Lots of units across the country were termed after her august name including Kim Jong Suk County, Kim Jong Suk Teacher Training College, Kim Jong Suk Rest Home and Kim Jong Suk Pyongyang Silk Mill. A kindergarten in Suhbaatar District, Ulan Bator City of Mongolia was named "Kim Jong Suk Kindergarten" in Juche 88 (1999).
I wonder what I would have to do to merit having a Mongolian kindergarten named after me? Maybe a fistful of tögrögs would do it.
And then there's this:
National Hygienic Propaganda Contest Held
I suspect that there is nothing worth adding to that headline.

A national angling contest was held on the bank of the River Taedong in Pyongyang on Sept. 17.
More than 60 angling fans selected in provinces, ministries and national institutions competed in the contest. They were allowed to use up to four sets of fishing tackles including pole and line, mechanical pole and line and hook and line...When floats moved up and down the surface of water and the bell tinkled, they fished up continuously goldfishes, bitterlings and other fishes with skilled movements.

The participants showed well the artistry they have trained in the course of briskly conducting hygienic propaganda activities in factories, enterprises and construction sites.
Do they do house calls???
