A 'blind' gossip item
As spotted in the Popbitch newsletter:
"The wife of which Labour politician tried to claim on insurance for the loss of her wedding ring, when in reality she'd thrown it out of the car window having learned he'd been boning up on the parliamentary briefs of a colleague?"
I think I can name all three people involved, but the libel laws being what they are, I'm not taking any risks.

It was of course Reg Sillybuns MP, the member for Upper Foldingstuff who has been 'whacking the donkey' (whatever that may involve) with Egbertine Payola MP, the member for Rendition North East.
I have this on the authority of no less than the wronged wife, Constance Noring-Sillybuns, a close relative of Lorelei Maldemer.
Trust this clarifies matters.
Not entirely sure I agree with PoNW.
If I say I suspect the miscreant is the only current Labour MP (bar Brown) with a wife that the averagely well informed person could hope to name that should point in you in a certain direction.

You don't mean the late Hylda Baker, do you by any chance? I had a couple of pints with her in the Dog and Mandelson only the other week. Didn't know she was married to a Labour MP, though.
