An astonishing finding - 'crazy cat ladies' do not like the term

Does that mean the other 75% revel in the term? CCL pride, mebbe?
Can't say I would want a cat, as I have a minor allergy to pet hair, but am happy enough to engage with friends' mogs at least until I get scratched, bored or my eyes start streaming. If they make folk happy, fine - it's none of my business. I have been known to propagate the CCL idea indirectly by referring to a woman I knew thus -'and she has eight cats. You fill in the blanks'. That tended to prompt knowing nods.

I have a cat. I am a lady. I am also mad. Hence I am a mad cat lady.
However, I am in possession of mostly wooden furniture, a good dustbuster and a dislike of soft furnishings. Hence there is little cat fur adorning anything in my flat.
I am also blessed in that he is a lazy bugger when it comes to doing anything in the house. He'll start to reach a table leg to scratch it, then get bored before he starts. When I come home though, he does run to his scratching post and scratch it as a sign that he is welcoming me home.
Although he could be sharpening his claws for maximum pain after abandoning him for five hours.
A friend had a brace of very enthusiastic moulters, Samson and Delilah, who appropriated a floor of the house each. Samson having turned up his toes, Delilah has now decided she prefers the great outdoors, thus largely solving the moulting problem for her owner.
Going to be hard to stamp out a meme that has spawned an action figure...
