They are coming for our children
"Over half of schools in England have achieved Eco School status, Environment Secretary Hilary Benn announced today". Source
Sounds pretty harmless, does it not? One might expect it involves switching over to those rubbishy new light bulbs, having the odd flower bed and turning down the heating at weekends.
It is, however, rather more sinister, as the footnotes make clear:
"The Government would like every school to be a sustainable school by 2020. In practice this means integrating high standards of achievement and behaviour including the goals of healthy living, environmental awareness, community engagement and citizenship".
After all, they have got literacy and numeracy cracked, so why not progress to a nice bit of social engineering?

They could drastically cut the kitchen "pollution" by switching to Soylent Green.
Although the supply from class 2B seems to be running out sooner than expected.
