Lacking the courage of one's convictions
Here is a Dutch Socialist MP:
And what he said to Radio Netherlands: "The Socialist Party parliamentarian admits that he called for a new intifada at an anti-violence demonstration in Amsterdam on Saturday, but adds that he meant "civil disobedience and peaceful protest".
I suppose 'civil disobedience, civil disobedience, free Palestine', even rendered in Dutch lacks the snappiness of 'Intifada' etc etc, but perhaps Harry Von Bommel should either be a little more careful in his use of words or else grow a pair and drop this transparent weaseling.
As a footnote, I discover that the 'lady' next to him is the widow of Wim Duisenberg, the first president of the European Central Bank. Looks like the Elders of Zion really screwed up there.
