Locked out from the lock in
It has been blindingly obvious since the queuing started mid-morning that the prospects of seeing /the/ speech live are slim to non-existent and long term queuing is not my idea of fun. Still, I now have a tolerably comfortable chair in front of pretty hefty plasma screen. Although I do wish they would turn off the FM rock by numbers being played through the PA. Don't think it is the hall feed, for what that's worth.
The next dilemma is whether one should clap - or jeer - a live feed when the speaker is unaware of one's response. Or put another way, does one clap for one's own purposes or to inform the speaker?
Fascinating, eh?
Meanwhile, no update to the climate change thing till I can charge the laptop. Thumb typing on a mobile - like this - is just too laborious.
