Plausible deniability
This is a late contender for denial of the year:
"Pope Benedict XVI has no intention of ordering local bishops to bring in garrisons of exorcists to fight demonic possession,'' Vatican spokesman Father Federico Lombardi told reporters". I am NOT making this up.
And there's more - the statistic of the year: " Father Scarafoni warned that very few - perhaps one in ten - of the people said to be possessed by Satan actually were".
My name is contubernium for we are few, perhaps?

Hmmm...
As few as 1 in 10, eh? One wonders in which cathedrals they abide...

On another matter...
His Grace has tagged you in a 'meme' (whatever one of those is), and would like to hear of your eight wishes for 2008.
Blessings,

I have seen that, and am duly mulling on a suitable eight. I must say that your list is altogether admirable.

Bless you.
Sadly, none will be fulfilled, but hey, it is a wish list.
