You too can vote in the Norwegian election. Ish
Or at least answer a raft of questions to find out which party best suits one's views. Here is the Valgomat test, which the lovely people at Aftenpost have made available in English.
And my electoral date is with the Progress Party, "The Party advocates free market economics and deregulation of the economy, stricter limits on immigration, especially from immigrants who break the law, closer cooperation with NATO, United States and also Israel in foreign policy, a more controlled state aid to developing countries, social and cultural conservatism, the decentralization of government."
Sounds fairly promising, doesn't it?

Cons 54%
Prog 51%
I had no problemns with gays marrying, but problems with state-sponsored artifical insemination for lesbians. I have problems with state-sponsored anything.

And that's another thing, it's not bloody "state-sponsored" it is "taxpayer subsidised". The money doesn't bloody grow on trees, even if it does sometimes bubble up out of the ground.

The Conservative Party: Traditionally the major rival of Labour, the Conservatives promote freedom of choice, more competition within the private sector, and tax relief.

Heh.
Conservatives, Progressives, Socialist Left, Liberal...
None more than 50%.
Probably because I'm a liberal so we have economic liberalism and free markets and low state intervention from the Conservatives and Progressives coupled with disestablishment of the church, pro-gay marriage etc from the left.
Are they PR? That would help...
