Don't tell verity ... she thinks you have to be a youthful, reflexes-like-lightning jock to fly a fighter
She won't thank you for revealing it can be done by a 69-year-old with not much spare time for flying
How will she ever again be able to look with admiration at Bush?!
(dons helmet and repairs to shelter)
Nick Drew - Bush was flying jet fighters to prepare for war. Not to cruise the friendly skies. I am aware that today's planes all but fly themselves.
Anyway, I expect the Chairman of Tata would rather ride in anything than a Tata bus or a Tata lorry. I know I would.
Verity you are on a copper-bottomed loser here, Bush's 'military career' is a well-documented sham. Preparing for war he was not - he was ensuring he stayed as far away as possible.
You are wrong, Nick. Certainly, the left tried to portray him thus because, of course, John Kerry was a coward and a megawatt liar about his service - soi-disant- in Viet Nam and they couldn't have Mr Bush looking too good. Throw enough mud and some will stick.
