Unison wants *you* to take a pay cut

Presuming you are on more than £94.83 a week, that is.

And here it is, in black and white, because Dave Prentis of Unison is four-square behind the 'Put People First! March for jobs, justice and climate', which is slated for the 28th of next month.

And this march seeks, and obviously will achieve, the following:

  • Decent jobs and public services for all!

  • End global poverty and inequality!

  • Build a green economy!

If inequality is to be ended, then we should all be on the worldwide average, which according to the most recent figure I can find is about $7000 p/a, so converting that to pounds and so forth gives the figure of £94.83 per week.

After you Dave.

Surely someone with you moniker would take the opportunity to type in 'as a any fule kno'?

I am impressed that the recent bout of globalisation has lifted the mean that high.

I, for one, wouldn't mind earning that much if I lived in a cheap, hot country...

BE - It isn't that bad, is it?

No, I mean that £94 a week could go quite far in Vietnam, for example...

Yes, we were on the same wavelength. I think the 'nam would be a bit too hot for me, but Chile or Argentina have a certain appeal.

You have a long standing offer of beerage and hospitality in my part of the world.

Slightly warmer than yours if emails from distant friends are accurate.
