A useful site for nervous travellers...
Or at least for jittery air travellers departing from Gay Paree.
Securvol.fr has grouped airlines into five categories - good, OK, with reservations, avoid and banned in the EU - as blogged about last year. It is updated every time there is 'an incident', apparently.
In Group 1 from these shore are BA, easyjet and Monarch. None of our other carriers are listed. Air France is in group 2....
The avoid list is full of gems:
Aerobrazil - charter airline with one plane, a 38 year old Boeing 707.
Aerojecutivos (sic) - One plane, a 56 year old convair which should be in a museum.
And here it is:

Thankyou for that- marvellous rating for easyJet with very young fleet. Not so good for Ryanair which I have always refused to use.
I do my level best to avoid Ryanair - O'Leary strikes me as deeply odious and their attitude to customer service is summed up as 'if you don't like it, don't fly with us'.
I had to endure ordeal by Ryanair a month back as I was travelling with friends and someone had already booked with them, making it a fait accompli. They were just as bloody as I remembered.
Using aerobrazil must be like using trains in the UK
John - fair point, although I prefer the older trains as they only have four seats in a row rather than five. Even the willowiest of people - if in overcoats - will find themselves crammed in a five abreast group.
So where do QANTAS with planes which break apart in mid-air now fit in these lists?
At least that old hunk of junk is in one piece, unlike the Qantas flight.
Don't make me nervous. Might have to fly soon.
Come now James, your moniker suggests you fly for a living....
