Talk is cheap
Readers of the New York Times and the Herald Tribune will have been greeted with the following today:
A larger version of the advert, complete with a supporting rubric is available here. The adverts have been funded by the Simon Wiesenthal Center, which organisation wants the UN to call a special session to discuss the issue and also seeks to have suicide bombers (I still think homicide bomber is a better term) deemed to be committing crimes against humanity.
This all strikes me as being a somewhat pointless exercise - even more pointless than the average UN event, that is - as no matter how much opprobrium might be heaped on the heads of would be self-detonators, they will continue to judge their acts justifiable.
