A better use of yesterday's time and money than setting off fireworks
Giving money to the Ron Paul campaign:
"On Monday, a group of Paul supporters helped raised more than $4.07 million in one day — approaching what the campaign raised in the entire last quarter — through a Web site called ThisNovember5th.com, a reference to the day the British commemorate the thwarted bombing". Source
I would contribute myself, but the campaign only accepts donations from citizens, and all the Americans I know are left leaning.....
And my favourite Ron Paul quote thus far: ""It is dissent from government policies that defines the true patriot and champion of liberty".

I'm thinking of getting the other half to donate. She asked me 'who is Ron Paul and do I like him?' to which I replied 'libertarian Republican, so yes'. She was happy with that :)

Of my UK-based American friends, one is a southern Democrat (and thus not politically ALL bad), but the other volunteered for Dukakis and speaks highly of Ted Kennedy.....

The southern Democrat could perhaps be persuaded by Ron Paul, but I hold out little hope for anyone who speaks highly of Ted Kennedy...

Gosh, someone who speaks highly of Teddy. Is this person in the alcohol industry?

I fear the Teddy fan is beyod salvation, until such time as she is mugged by reality, so to speak.
