What *is* a general to wear?
I ask, because this headline at the National Post makes it sound as though Musharraf is having a wardrobe crisis, and quite possibly a bad hair day too:
"Pakistan's Musharraf 'yet to decide on uniform'".
The story is rather less camp than the headline suggests.

Good! The notion of a camp Musharraff might be too big a burden for those with a delicate disposition.

I don't understand why he's having a wardrobe crisis. Pakistani clothes are amongst some of the most beautiful in the world.

Especially those niqabs, eh, Mountjoy?

Verity: Being fairly certain that you - and most of the rest of the inhabitants of this blog - are not of a delicate disposition, you may wish to know (or not!!) that when I lived in the middle eastern countries those long baggy pants the Pakistani workers wore were known among the expats as "Sh*tcatchers". Wonder if the good General has any in his linen drawer?
Apologies for lowering the tone ...

Nomad - As you intuited, I'm fairly robust. I'll take your word for it.

Verity, I was thinking more along the lines of salwar kameez. Having worn a niqab to a fancy dress party, I do not recommend that for the general :-)
