What the Trotskyites are up to...

A brief trawl around the SWP website is rarely a wasted endeavour, and apart from the bizarre comment of theirs I've appended to the Straw thread, there's an unintentionally amusing piece about the prospect of a strike at the Telegraph. I never thought I would live to see the day when the DT was described as 'a national newspaper' by the Trots rather than something just a tad more venomous. Maybe they think that Charles Moore, Heffer et al are just in the grip of a brief outbreak of false consciousness and will soon be part of the vanguard element.

And they are sticking with Tommy Sheridan, they like strikes, Robin Hood is being claimed as one of their own and meanwhile the revolution, to quote one William Bragg, is just a t-shirt away. And they take (snigger) credit card donations.

Meanwhile, speaking of t-shirts all of my Trotskyite readers might be interested to know that Trotskyite garb is at its cheapest at the Scottish Socialist Party, starting at a very reasonable £3.99 for an 'I am Spartacus' T-shirt (and £1.19 for P&P), and extending to £9.99 (plus £1.19 P&P) for an 'International Brigade' T-shirt whereas the SWP charges a positively profiteering and capitalistic £10 per T-shirt (and £1.50 for P&P). The Sheridan Ego Party Solidarity Scotland party hasn't moved into street wear for insurrectionists as yet.

There looks to be a rather amusing 'More Caledonian / Prolier than thou' squabble going on twixt SSP and, cough, SS which I may well feature should my long suffering readership be interested.
