Ellee Seymour has blogged on the Forbes commentary piece on what men should look for in a wife, so here's a parallel from our side of the pond:
NSI commissioned a survey on gender attitudes to money and so forth and has 'discovered' the following, inter alia:
"Forty-five per cent of women said a healthy bank balance was their top priority when looking for a partner. In contrast, a mere 22 per cent of men said the same".
"Sixty-four per cent of the 3,081 respondents surveyed said financial security was important to the success of the relationship. Only 14 per cent said money did not matter at all.
More than a little depressing if you ask me, and even if you are not, I'm saying it....

That might be true of some women, but I'm sure you would soon see through it if you took her to the chippie on your first date and asked her to go Dutch. If she is still interested, then you know it's not your wallet but your mind, and maybe even your body, she is after.
