Anyway, Le Figaro is offering readers the chance to vote on whether Mr Tony would make a good or a bad EU president.  The figures show the 'non' camp winning at present:




Granted this is a self-selecting poll and thus of no statistical value at all, and voting will have achieved nothing.  Apart from making me feel good....

In the present circumstances, surely Mr Blair is the only EU president who would be suitable for Britain. After all, we (the nation, not me or you personally) did actually elect him...

I think you will find that this near to a record approval level for an Englishman among the French - especially if you take out the expats who tend to be overwhelmingly Tory.
