As a footnote to end all footnotes, I was again searching youtube in the vain hope that someone had posted Mandelson's 'I will survive' Hartlepool speech, and this came up as the first hit:

BE - Yes, a fine title. Given all the splendid titles available out there, maybe we should have a Pasha in charge of health, a Lord Protector at the Home Office, and a Commissar or two for Housing.
