The most dishonourable way to make a living possible?
Among the many things that would make the world a better place, the early demise of Kim Jong-Il would appear fairly high on my list.
Anyway, a French brain surgeon who has had dealings with Pyongyang in the past is rumoured to be en route for those parts, although he denies it.
Should the neurosurgeon have Kim under the knife, I hope he suffers from uncontrollable shakes.

Don't want to be a boring fart, but I don't think giving medical care to someone who needs it can ever be "dishonourable", however loathsome the patient.

JM - You liberal you. If maximising human health was the quack's priority, he would have an awful lot more time to conduct his trade if he cut out the 8-10 hour flights each way, even before we factor in jetlag etc. He is free to exercise his trade as he sees fit, but I consider myself free to point the finger too.

Jonny Mac - just out of interest ... if you had a scalpel against Stalins' throat? Next to Hitler's carotid artery? Pol Pot's aorta? Che's windpipe?
What choice would you have made?

geoff - I like to think I'd have had the courage to kill Messrs Stalin, Hitler and "Pot". (Not Che.) I'd also be quite happy for Kim to be assassinated with Western backing. But I don't think that's incompatible with saying that giving medical care to someone who needs it can't ever be described as "dishonourable".
