The Lord Levy business

Guido and Iain are en fete (as I'm sure we've all noticed), not a sniff from Recessmonkey or Bob Piper, and Labourhome is a bit angst-ridden.

Yes, exciting times lie ahead.
I think Iain and Guido have enough new material for a second little red book.

I might even overcome 'writer's block' (for which read laziness etc) if they do another one. I enjoyed your entry by the way.

This is knife-edge. What do people think will happen now? Levy's out on bail. He says they hauled him in to make him hand over papers he would willingly have handed over to them if they had only asked. Awwwww. If that's true, Yates has an agenda.

I'm worried that the police are trying to defuse this whole donations for peerages deal with a pretend arrest.

Can't say I trust the Met in this context. As I've commented before, somewhere or other, 'Sir' Ian Blair is the living proof of the long march through the institutions. Roll on elected police chiefs...

Meanwhile, I'm sitting back and enjoying the show. Please, dear Lord (I'm an agnostic), please, please, PLEASE let dismal Gordon get caught up in this.

I lived in the US, and elected police chiefs and elected judges work. For you.

Non-performance of the voters' wishes earns a non-job come the next election.
